Helena Citizens' Council Neighborhood Fair

Sometimes its hard to find out who you need to talk to and what forms you need to fill-out to get things done.  Each year, the Helena Citizens' Council, with the support from the City of Helena, hosts a Neighborhood Fair with the purpose of making it easier for the residents of Helena to connect with local services.  Non-profits and local government entities are invited to come and share community information.  Last year, the council had over 40 booths representing groups including public safety, parks and recreation, the county health department, the fire department, public works, community development and many more. Each year, the council also invites to this event a keynote speaker to address a pertinent city issue. In the past, keynote speakers have spoken about pine-beetle kill in Helena woodlands and the implementation of the city's climate change task force report.

If you have an interest in participating in the Neighborhood Fair in Spring 2011 or would like to be involved in the planning of this event, please contact the Helena Citizens' Council at hcc@ci.helena.mt.us or call 406-447-8493.  We welcome new ideas.  If you are resident who is interested in attending the fair please watch the newspaper for announcements or check back to our website in January.
