    Diane Papineau

A native of New Hampshire, Diane has lived and worked in Montana and Yellowstone National Park since 1988 and is currently employed as a GIS Analyst with the Montana State Library. She holds an MS degree in Earth Sciences from Montana State University (Bozeman), emphasizing GIS and historical/cultural geography; and a BS degree in Cinema and Photography from Ithaca College (Ithaca, NY). She worked many years as an Interpretive Park Ranger in Yellowstone National Park as well as a technical writer and illustrator with private software companies in Massachusetts and Montana. When she’s not busy earning a living or contributing to the community, she can be found delighting in the great outdoors, volunteering at the Lewis and Clark Humane Society, playing table tennis, or making a mean salmon chowder.
