What is the Helena Citizens Council?

We are YOUR voice! The HCC brings people together to work as a community to improve the quality of life in Helena.

  • We were established by City Charter in 1977.
  • Composed of seven Neighborhood Districts with four representatives from each.
  • Elected to a two year term during a general city election.

What does the HCC do?

The HCC meets monthly to listen, learn and advise the city government on issues.

  • Acts as a liaison between the city and the residents of Helena
  • Provides citizen representation on boards, committees and meetings
  • Disseminates information about district and city-wide issues
  • Fosters civic involvement through programs, services and activities
  • Serves on and attend various boards and committees

When does the HCC meet?

The HCC meets the 4th Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm, in the City and County Building, Room 326
